What is OE?
Open Enrollment (OE) distinguishes participants who are self-paying. OE is offered for nearly all SERTC courses.
What city should I fly into?
- If you fly into Denver (DIA), you will need to rent a car to get to Pueblo. Pueblo is approximately two and one half hours from DIA.
- If you fly into Colorado Springs (COS), you can either rent a car or call the “Shuttle Service of Southern Colorado” at 877-545-9435. Pueblo is approximately one hour from COS.
- If you fly into Pueblo (PUB), you can take a cab to the hotel, or rent a car. Pueblo is limited by the number of flights in and out. There is only one airline that serves Pueblo. That is Great Lakes Airlines and they serve Pueblo through DIA twice daily, in the morning and in the evening.

What about meals?
Breakfast and dinner are the responsibility of the student. Lunches are included in the tuition fee and will be catered at the training facility. Special dietary requests are addressed during online registration. You may also email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org, no later than one week prior to class start date. We will do our best to accommodate you
The hotel will provide a voucher for your breakfast, SERTC provides a hot lunch, and the students are responsible for their own supper.
What time do we the last day of training?
All of our courses exit on Friday afternoon at 1600. Please make your travel arrangements accordingly.
What do I need to bring with me?
SERTC will provide all equipment needed for the field exercises. The student needs to bring safety shoes that meet ASTM F2413-05 requirements. They should be a minimum of six inches high to ensure they go above the ankle. The student should also bring work gloves. Any other equipment, such as SCBA, will be provided to the student.
What is the $60 processing fee?
For all incoming SERTC students, SERTC requires background checks ($60) that include:

- Nationwide Criminal Court History
- Nationwide Sex Offender
- Federal Criminal Search
- Terrorist Watch List
