At SERTC, we are passionate about what we do because we know the importance of getting responders the tools they need to keep their communities safe. Our courses help make sure that responders have the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience they need to take on all kinds of challenges in real-world situations when they go back home. Here’s what we’ve heard from students recently:
“I loved the hands-on exercises in the field. Having access to the actual tank cars was invaluable.”
“Getting to see the rail cars up close and some newer industry gear available for hazmat mitigation was great. The experience of the instructors helped with some perspective as well.”
“The classroom instruction was very beneficial to me. I had very limited knowledge on this subject and now I feel I could help facilitate an operation in coordination with rail professionals.”
“There was a lot of useful information throughout the class. Breaking down the DOT numbers was very useful. The drill was by far my favorite. Working with others in different fields was very fun.”
“I loved this class. And the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable. I am certainly going to recommend this to anyone who would benefit from advancing their knowledge.”
“One of the best classes I’ve taken in a long time. Instructors were top notch, very knowledgeable and encouraged learning at all levels. The prop scenarios took the training to a whole new level. Train hazmat scene was of course a favorite! Thank you for the opportunity and look forward to coming back!”
“The instructors were top notch! Low key and personable while super knowledgeable and supportive at the same time.”
