Comprehensive 80-hour Hazmat Response Training

We combine the rigorous training requirements of the NFPA 470 hazmat technician course with our specialized Highway Emergency Response Specialist and Tank Car Specialist courses. Eligibility for No-Cost DHS/FEMA-Funded Training

To qualify for no-cost DHS/FEMA-funded training, participants must be state, local, tribal, or territorial first responders and must receive approval from both their supervisor and State Administrative Agency (SAA). Click the “Apply for Funding” button on the left and follow the steps to apply for training.

Open Enrollment / Self-Pay Option

SERTC welcomes all first responders, including federal employees and those in private industry. If you do not qualify for DHS/FEMA funding, you can still register as an Open Enrollment / Self-Pay student.
