Charlie is a Colorado-native first responder who started his career in civil defense, public safety, and the fire service in 1984. During this time he helped design local search and rescue, radiation response, and flood mitigation plans as a Captain of his volunteer fire department and Crew Boss of Federal Wildland Fire Services. In 1991, Charlie joined SERTC working with the original founders of the school. Always willing to share his vast knowledge, Charlie is our historian. He credits his ability to learn every day and the great people he has, and continues to have, the opportunity to work with as the highlights of his long career.
