Shawn Reedy

Shawn began his railroad career at CSX Transportation in 2000. He has held several positions in operations, human resources and safety with the last several years there as a Hazardous Materials Manager and training officer based out of the CSX training facility in Atlanta, GA. In October 2017, he joined Team SERTC as an Instructor and has most recently been promoted to Senior Instructor I. He has acted as an adjunct Instructor for the Bureau of Explosives, and has been invited to be an adjunct Instructor for the National Fire Academy. Shawn has numerous certifications in emergency response, firefighting and transportation of hazardous materials, and holds associates of science degrees in engineering and a bachelor’s of science degree in occupational safety & health and fire science. He is currently working towards the completion of his Certified Hazardous Materials Manager certification by the end of 2023.
